Golden Harvest Cinemas Being the First Cinema Circuit Equipped with Motion Chair D-BOX in Hong Kong
Golden Harvest Cinemas is delighted to announce that GH Mongkok is the first HK cinema to install Motion Chair D-BOX which provides exhilarating theatrical experience to all moviegoers.
Motion Chair D-BOX is the leading edge technology motion systems in movie history. Unlike the existing vibrating chairs in some of the HK cinema circuits, each Motion Chair D-BOX is embedded with D-BOX Motion code which makes its motion perfectly synchronized with all onscreen actions, creating an unmatched realistic and immersive experience. Motion Chair D-BOX has 3 types of motion that moves you frontward and backward, from side to side and up and down. Each seat is equipped with individual intensity controls that allow moviegoers to increase or decrease motion effect based on preference.
Motion Chair D-BOX has been installed at Golden Gateway and GH Citywalk. “With the growing demands on theatrical exhibition technology, 3D movie experience is no longer satisfying HK moviegoers. Golden Harvest Cinemas takes the lead to launch Motion Chair D-BOX. Although the project involves over a million HK dollars investment, I think it is worth to introducing this brand-new technology to HK moviegoers”, said Belinda Tang, Head of HK Operations of Orange Sky Golden Harvest.
There are more than 26 theatrical releases with Motion Chair D-BOX technology. Most of them were produced by leading motion picture studios, films such as “Star Trek : Into Darkness”, “Iron Man 3”, “Oblivion”, “G.I Joe 2: Retaliation”, “Oz The Great and Powerful”.
